Design Engineer Job Description:
Assist in the design of safe, reliable, and quality products for the agricultural and transportation industries. Have knowledge of material strengths and characteristics of both steel and aluminum. Have the capability to perform design calculations and have experience with Finite Element Analysis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to complete design aspects of a product from conception to production
• Specify purchased components required for projects and develop bill of materials
• Create instruction and operation manuals
• Responsible for improving the design, safety and reduce material costs of existing products
• Responsible for design and implementation of new product lines for production
• Provide professional and positive support to all departments in our manufacturing plant
• Hands on person with the ability to assist in the R&D department as needed
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Design Engineering Degree
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient with Solid Works 2005 or parametric modeling, and 3D modeling with AutoCAD
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Excel, Word and willing to learn ADOBE Page Maker and Made2Manage MRP software
